This a second yearly demo contest for the MetaTrader 5 expert advisors held by MetaQuotes. The prize fund is, as always, $80,000. The registration for this automated demo contest is completely free. The registration is open from June 1st till September 23rd and the actual trading will last from October 3rd till December 23rd, 2011. You need to register for the championship and upload your expert advisor during the registration period. The expert advisor with the highest profit by the end of the contest is declared a winner. There are 3 prize places:

  • 1st — $40,000.
  • 2nd — $25,000.
  • 3rd — $15,000.

The trading is performed on an account with $10,000 starting balance and 1:100 leverage. 12 major currency pairs are available for trading and your expert advisor can trade on all of them simultaneously:

  • USD/CHF
  • GBP/USD
  • EUR/USD
  • USD/JPY
  • USD/CAD
  • AUD/USD
  • EUR/GBP
  • EUR/AUD
  • EUR/CHF
  • EUR/JPY
  • GBP/JPY
  • GBP/CHF

Example

You register an account on the championship page, enter your personal details and upload your working expert advisor that doesn't break any championship rules. It passes the backtest on the date range from 2011-01-01 to 2011-09-01. During the course of the contest it trades and earns $125,400.80 profit. That qualifies you for the 1st place. $40,000 prize will be transferred to your bank account after the championship.


Special conditions

Only MT5 expert advisors are allowed.

Your EA shouldn't use DLLs.

Maximum number of open positions and pending orders is 3.

The EA shouldn't contain any critical errors or bugs.

Should make minimum 5 trades during the contest.

Shouldn't be a scalping EA.

Minim position size is 0.1, the maximum position size per symbol is 15. Step is 0.1.

Trading conditions (slippage, requotes, delays) are close to the real market ones.
